Very impressive to say the least. I find the placing of what look to be upper columns(the ones that essentially are holding the steel cables) on the bridge to be rather interesting. They do not continue from where the base columns left off.

This is a marvelous piece of engineering. Sometimes you may wonder how are these things possible. They look good on paper and even in pictures but in reality sometimes you cab be afriad of whether it can hold the test of time.

Snake Vargas will become famous soon enough

Impressive. Apart from being the professionals (and I the mere armchair amateur), I wonder if they thought much about sideways forces? Not wind, but things like geological movements or such.

It seems that the single pylons for the suspension cables (ie. not one series on each side of the bridge or something, but one series in the middle) plus the large height vs. width makes it look, in the longer term, potentially unstable to my amateur eyes.

But still, must be amusing to drive atop the clouds.. someone will have to do a commercial about it..

...also, wasn't foster the person who designed the new mclaren headquarters? or am i thinking of someone else?
Yes, he was the one who designed the McLaren Technology Centre. A cool thing I read was that there are artificial lakes surrounding the building, and that for the main lake, water is pumped through heat exchangers to cool the building itself.
