Re: The Photoshop Thread

Below is a a photoshop I did a few months ago.

I've been working on a few to erase away that nasty cigarette in Mrs. Beckinsale's hand. While by no means perfect (as closer examinationn reveals blurring), I actually consider it satisfactory.

Left is the original, right is the edit

I'm slowly learning

Re: The Photoshop Thread

Not bad, Bruce.

I'd use the Clone Tool for these kinds of jobs. The smudge tool will "tear apart the surrounding area" especially if it is on a stronger setting. You were right to blur the area because upon closer examination it is a distance shot (a low quality one at that too) and that means places like her hands aren't going to be very sharp.

Here's my go at it. I primarily used the Clone Tool to create cigarette free hands and also to remove the cigarette. Then I used a soft-sided coloring brush in black at around 17% opacity setting to create dark spaces between her hands for the spaces between her fingers.

On a side note, you like this woman!? She smokes for crying out loud!

Re: The Photoshop Thread

Oh, and I just noticed you can see the outline of her left breast nipple. Using the clone tool at 60% opacity, you can get rid of it to keep the ultra conservatives happy.

Re: The Photoshop Thread

To make things even easier with the clone tool, use the lasso around the cigarette and it's even easier. Did it exactly that way with my skateboarder shot.

Thank you very much for the information Christian!

Yes!

That's the only downside to her as far I'm concerned.

Re: The Photoshop Thread

Noise Ninja or Blur layers?

But I prefer PS 2 but I think it would've been even better if it looked just a tiny bit more natural and if the hair was sharper.

I did this one for a friend of mine. He's in love with the chick in the picture but his bestfriend is dating her.
