They are extremely high-end design Marcus, I'm glad you like them so much -- I think many people might find it too clinical and severe.

Yeah I can see that happening and too because they don't look very functional in some ways, but still the design is stunning. I think I'm more taken by their exteriors than their interiors.

It is very much in the style of the Italian architect Paolo Piva.

Maybe Maybach should seek his advice for the interior design of their next limousine.

Re: Luxury boats

Rob the pictures you just posted with the living room and the book shelf and also the room where the suits are in the closet is just stunning. However, I am afraid that one day, probably 10 years down the road, this will be so tacky and out dated. Somewhat like the designs from the 80's that we may now look at and run away.

Re: Luxury boats

I can't say I'm a huge fan of megayachts. In my humble opinion, they start looking too big and bulky when they get past 120'. I think they start looking like naval ships.

For you guys that like futuristic designs, check out the megayacht Skat.

Someone posted a pic of an Azimut yacht. Their sister yard is Benetti and they make bigger yachts. The splendid, blue-hulled Reverie is one their creations.

Picture would be too big, but everyone take a look at this Sunseeker 105'. She's not a "megayacht" by today's standards, but it's a gorgeous piece of work. Sunseeker is continually making larger and larger boats.

Re: Luxury boats

Ive been planning to start a thread about this topic for a long time but i guess you beat me to it. I used to be crazy about large power yachts but now the only one i want is that wally. But now for the past five years i have become an avid sailor at 14years old im getting paid to race on a 45ft racing boat so my new choice is sailboats. But i dont want any of those lame cruisers i would want one of those wally's or a full custom racing boat. Have any of you seen any of the volvo ocean race with the v70 open sailing boats. If i have some time i will go back and find some of those pictures on my computer because those boats are amazing. THey are just so sleek kind of like the wally's but so much faster.

That is probably true Mike.

There is truth in that Ray ....but Larry Ellison's one is more like a classic elegant ocean liner.

These megayachts seem to change owners very quickly. Some are put on the market very soon after the first owner takes delivery -- they can often command higher prices than they cost to build. I think Larry Ellison's 'Rising Sun' is already on the market.

Rising Sun is probably my favourite.
