The man may have good taste to commission a nice yacht, but, apparently, not enough good taste to correct ten years of constant vulgar, unprofessional displays on the golf course.
LOL Ray, you really are not a fan of Tiger are you.

The pictures were on that link Jack posted.

This Interior reminds me of the interior of a Maybach, it has a similar ambiance -- very pleasant but not particularly inspiring.

The point is it doesn't. None of what he does on or off excuses him from playing the game in a professional manner or overshadows his persistent outbursts.

You and I probably both have a lot of friends who exhibit terrible behaviour, but a professional should not do it at a tournament. Tiger's behaviour often borders on the terrible. I don't see many, if any, other top-tier pros do the things he does.

Sorry if this gets off-topic in an off-topic thread, but I was taught from a relatively young age to play the game properly. What I see him do goes against how I was taught to play.

Rob, I'm not his biggest fan. Of course, there are a bunch of people I know and a slew of Liberal-media types who treat anyone who's not Tiger fan as an instant racist!

Re: Luxury boats

Getting back on track. I really like the English interior in Sir Donald Gosling's Leander yacht.

Hmmmm...interesting Ray, not quite my taste I must admit.

It does have character though.

Re: Luxury boats

I know it's likely not to everyone's taste, but there's a certain timeless element to Leander. She was built in '92. Isn't that like grandfather age in today's megayacht construction races?

I guess I like Leander more and more because I keep seeing such similar interiors in some of the larger yachts I read about. Perhaps I don't read enough boating and yachting magazines, but I keep seeing the same stuff. That is, the interiors resemble a Maybach or a corner in a Pottery Barn store.

Leander is still one of the most expensive yachts to charter, some $500,000 US per week.

I still say BOO! His peers do the same thing only they are not on camera or mic 80% of a tournament. The respect he gets from his peers defines how he is perceived on the golf course. As far as playing the game in a professional manner he has no peers!

I will not even address your last sentence...that is really OT!

See you on the links...LOL

Re: Luxury boats

You are right Ray, most of these maga yachts have similar styled interiors -- and most I do not like. Tiger's yacht is tasteful but lacks any character or personality.

Leander's interior is like an upper-middle class English house -- I would expect the Earl Grey tea would be served in pretty little Wedgewood cups ..and the maids would be wearing proper traditional uniforms. It is very quaint actually -- it would be like visiting your Grandmother's rest home.

Last post from me about this; I swear it!

His peers respect his results. Top pros respect talent and Tiger has more of it than anyone. I've heard commentators and even Arnold Palmer be very critical of Tiger behaviour, but it just goes on repeatedly. I hope it hasn't been engrained into the new golfers playing the game.

The tournaments tend to broadcast psycho behaviour and even though most golfers are not on a mic on every hole, the broadcasts tend to show foul displays of etiquette. I don't see much of it though. I followed Vijay Singh at a tourney one year and the gallery was rude, rude, rude to him, but he took it and was a really swell guy.

I've been avoiding the links! I absolutely can't hit a 460 cc driver without snap hooking it into the trees! The courses get longer and longer so I need to hit driver. I'd like to use the most advanced ones, but they're all 460! Honestly NevadaJack, if you have any ideas on hitting one of these new driver, send me a msg!
