Re: The Caffeine Thread

As far as I'm concerned, there's only one type of coffee that actually tastes good - a Finnish, lightly roasted blend.

Of course, when I'm caffeine-deprived, anything will do.

Re: The Caffeine Thread

Ok for all my fellow caffeine junkies out there.. check this out:

It is from GNC and has 100mg of caffeine!!

Just so you have a basis of comparison..a can of Diet coke has 3.75, brewed coffee has 13.44

I guess if I have to write a book in ten minutes I'll try it

Re: The Caffeine Thread

I have about one cup of coffee a week, and I know I will offend some of you sophisticated espresso and latte drinkers, but it is usually just plunger coffee.

I have a really nice coffee plunger like the one below and I use good quality freshly ground coffee beans ...it makes nice coffee and I am happy with that.

Hey Rob:

No offense at all!

That's "French Press" coffee.. it's an art to get it right!

Take a look at our emergency stovetop Bialetti it's an Italian cultural icon

Ha ha ha...we have some cheap ass black & Decker espresso meachine I think. I don't even know...I don't drink espressos. I just put some cold milk in the blender, then some ground up coffee and some sugar and then BLEND!!! works everytime and tastes really good...plus it's better than forking over $4 at starbucks.

LOL NarutoRamen, we can always count on you to "keep it real"

I'm not sure I want to try your method of making a cup of coffee however -- wouldn't your coffee be bit gritty?

Ha ha ha..."I keepz it R3AL!!"

Nah the coffee aint gritty at all, at least not for me. Every blender has a few different modes and ours has some button for Liquify...I use that and it blends the coffee real well.
