That's a sweet cellar you got there!

I'm still too young to buy alcohol legally so I can't really try out a bunch of fancy wines. I did get hold of a bottle of Vouvray (think it was called that), probobly cheap stuff but I drank the bottle almost straight up. Loved it.

Believe it or not, in wines the price does not always reflect quality!

We've tried inexpensive bottles which were delicious and pricey wines that did not deliver what was expected for the money.

French Vouvrays are always great, and will not break your pocket!

Did you have a sweet ot dry one?

I'm not really familiar with wine expressions but I think I'd call it sweet. It was white at least, that's for sure.

I hate sweet wine (I hate every alcohol that's to sweet)! When I drink sth. like that, I'll get a headache.

Come to think of it, I'm not sure if I've ever had Ballantine's... With the cheaper (blended) whisky, I tend to try out new stuff every time. For the better stuff, I just attend one of the parties my boss likes to organize... she's a real pro when it comes to whisky; she has an impressive collection of excellent and rare single malts which she is happy to share with her friends.

Im going ot have to say that i prefer-hard a over beer.. For some reason i have trouble with beer-especially after i got really sick from it..

Personally-i prefer margaritas-i probably put down two or three strong ones a week on average (moderation is key

). Blended with salt please.

Oh yes, the low quality stuff either sweet or not will give you headache, hangover and the works!

Mind you that some cheap ( read inexpensive) stuff is fine, just have to "test" it. Chilean and Australian Chards are a good example ( and are not sweet).

Hey Ree: you should be able to test some really good stuff in Germany.

The German Iceweins are second to NONE in the whole world!

Three measures of Gordon, one of vodka, have a measure of kina lillet....shake it over ice, and add a thin layer of lemon peel.
