I was "volunteered" to enter a Chili Cook-off for Charity

I'll be making and testing Chili all day.

Re: What's for Dinner?

Cayenne peppers would be the "German" choice...
But if you really want to "win" use a few cans of peper spray, try and get the police grade stuff.
Anyway, good luck

Today, I will make some mozzarella with tomatos, basil and olive oil. And in addition to that a warm bread...

Re: What's for Dinner?

Friend working in Iraq is going back in 2 days and we're having a party tonight, roasted lamb meat, potatoes and a green salad. Gallons of white vine and after that a UEFA Champions League, Fc Liverpool vs. Inter Milan...

Re: What's for Dinner?

Sounds like everyone is having a blast with good times , friends food, wine and such!

This is great.

About the Cookoff... 2nd place!

Not bad, not bad, and it disappeared within 20 minutes; people kept coming back for second and third tastings.

oh, BTW I did not use police grade pepper spray, instead I used lovely smoked jalapeno peppers.

Re: What's for Dinner?

Tonight I'm testing another recipe for Cooks Illustrated.

It entails grilled chicken and an orange-mustard glaze.

so far it looks and smells delicious, I modified the recipe to what I thought would work best. I think we have a winner, I'll let NSL judge
