So far, yes! and like Shonguiz says, lefty- handed individuals are clever, and natural problem solvers.

They have to be ingenious to adapt to a right-handed designed world. Just look at how of us many are R-handed

Wow! seems you have the characteristics of an ambidextrous brain.

Were you encouraged or forced to learn to write with your right hand?

my dad had a motorbike accident years ago. he had a hard time holding a pen or writing with his right hand. believe it or not, my dad now uses his left hand to write now...like as if he's actually a left handed.

he can also trash me with his left handed badminton VS my left handed badminton

To be honest I have no clue.
I think the right hand came naturally when learning to write. I actually remember the first time someone taught me to write and noone said anything about holding the pen in my right hand, that's just what I did.
I think Children use their early days to discover what falls naturally for them. They plays with toys, hammer wooden nails in holes, throw balls and other stuff before any rule of left or right is discovered. And I think it's during this time that children find what falls naturally for them and then continue to evolve their abilities with the hand they feel more comfortable using.

Just a theory.

If it were always true we would have more L-handed and X-handed people for sure

In many instances, teachers actually show how to hold a pen/pencil for the first time using their right hand.

As you know, the brain of a child is "wet cement" so to speak, and that simple action has quite an impression.

I've also seen teachers correct students using their left hand, and that ia such an imposition !
