Work in Progress: Revell 1/24th Scale 2006 Mustang GT

Well, for all of those who don't remember, I build model cars. I've posted some pictures of my older models, if you didn't see them, well... here's my Photobucket: http://photobucket.com/albums/y164/d.../Car%20Models/ . Moving onward, my newest project is a 2006 Mustang GT, which will be a Shelby style throwback, at least color-wise; it will be a white base with blue stripes. Here's the progress I've done thus far; I just got the paint in the mail today. Everything thus far is Cobra Colors; the reason for the black primer is the fact that they are Fire Pearls, which react best with a black primer. Without further boring you, here are some pictures. I'll keep updating as I go.

White plastic

Black primed

First coat of white... I'm as skeptical as you at this point...

I think I'm going to end up using the whole thing of paint... but I don't think I'm gonna get the white I was looking for... oh well, still going to go with my original idea. Anybody have any ideas on how to paint split stripes? I get to mask down the sides, but tape is too thick for the middle. Do I use a straight edge and X-acto, or is there an easier way?

I'm not skilled at this but I guess using an exacto knife is the best way to go for the stripes. this looks good, looks like Sparkling graphite, which is cool.

Yay for painters tape. I have to prime the Carrera GT I have waiting, and then it's blue stripes and blue Porsche!

Big update...

Painting the blue stripes...

Taking the masks off...

HUGE pimpin' 15's!

The interior, custom black and blue, with a "wood" steering wheel rim. Once again, a throwback to the Cobras of yore.

Well, here are some "almost done" pictures. Just some decalling to do tomorrow. Sorry that the pictures are dark, but my photoeditor isn't working so I can't lighten them now

I'll decal tomorrow, and then some natural light shots!
