i see you have a very nice collection Bruce, do you always keep them in the box or screwed onto the base, or do you leave them on your shelf? i keep mine all in the box cause i don't think the suspension arms of the model can handle the weight of the diecast shell over time, and i noticed the tyres of my UT Mclaren F1 LM concaved in after i left it on the shelf for a few months

I've always taken my models out of their box. So far, most all of have been ok.

However, my UT (Ha!) 993 Turbo suffered some damage being out of it's box. The suspenion started to wobble and to make affairs worse, it was accidentally left in the sun..Which melted the wheels a bit.

Dam i didn't know the wheels can melt this easily.

I noticed when i take the models out of the box and put them on a solid surface, the suspension arms are pressed down by half a mm or more, and the tyres have a tiny degree of negative camber so that is why i keep them in the box for 99% of the time to avoid deforming the suspension arms and the tyres over time. I leave my Maisto CLS lying around my room cause it has spring suspension, and the tyres are made of hard plastic. OK now do i sound like a weirdo just then

Lol, no, I understand what you're saying

Somewhat OT: Out of all of your 1:18 models, which do you consider to be your favourite ?

It has to be the Ford GT. I have waited for about a year to get it. It is by far the best model in my modest collection, and it a bit heavier than the normal Autoart model. The Murcielago Concept is a equal 2nd with my Kyosho Z8. I don't buy diecast that often, i will only buy one if it is a really nice one. I complement my diecast collection with Tamiya 1/24 car kits. I am currently building a Ferrari Enzo, and i have a CGT waiting to be build.

What is your favourite? i am guessing the CMC SLR

Kyosho make some nice E60 model cars, not sure if they have a the M sportspack version, but you can always get a black M5 model, it looks simlar enough to your car.
