No offense taken

I've gotten to the point where most any diecast under $70 isn't worth buying.

Re: Model Collections

I forget, that we have a special thread for model cars (posted it in "Your best photography" before, maybe someone of you can delete that post)...so here I go! This is my favourite model car I have owned:

Re: Model Collections

I have a collection of around 20 1:18 models. I starting collecting them what I was about 8. The first model I ever got was a BMW Z3 M roadster and at that age I still 'drove' all my car models around the house. I have like 100, (haven't counted) small cars which when I was much younger used to 'drive' them out of my room, downstairs and make a large car park in the kitchen. I also had a few of those road mats which had a town you could drive around on.

Although getting older, I don't 'drive' them around anymore!

The 1:18 models I have include:

BMW Z3 M roadster
BMW 645i convertible (E64)
BMW 325i compact (E46)
BMW 745i (E65)
BMW 530i (E60)
BMW Z4 roadster
BMW Z8
Hummer H2
Mini Cooper (first generation BMW)
Dodge ram
Ford F150
Porsche 911 carrera (996)
Porsche CGT
Lamborghini Murciélago
Ferrari 550
VW Beetle (second generation)
Mclaren F1
Jaguar XK 180 (concept car)
Aston Martin DB7
Maserati 3200 GT
Smart roadster

I haven't bought one for a while now, maybe it's time I did!

Yeah me too, I used to do make-believe scenarios about cars.

I had about 300, still stored somewhere back at my parents' house. Apart from Legos, they were the only toys I ever really cared about.
I never got into the collectible model stuff, though.

Re: Model Collections

lol, looks like all of us used to play with cars when we were younger.

BTW, do any of you make model cars. I got a kit to make a Ferrari 360 spider a few years ago. It took an age, you had to basically glue every bit of the engine together, and paint a load of stuff. I basically finished it. Maybe I'll but a kit for the summer, something to do!
