That Kensington Palace Garderns condominium is damn nice but feels a bit over priced, I guess the location is a major contributing factor. Do you have more information about it, like the size of it?
The house located on no.1 Cornwall Terrace in Regents Park is probably a very expensive house and it reminds me of Lakshmi Mittal's house which is located on the so called "billionaire street" in London.

Anyhow here is another lovley but also unique estate. It has a Cuban cocain lord over it.

Roberto is hiding a big secret. The truth is that he is an oil sheik living is Saudi Arabia with dreams of building a 1500m tall building.

LOL ...no Lu, unfortunately I am no oil sheik (but you probably already guessed that ). Like many of us on this forum, I just have expensive taste.

BTW Lu, Lakshmi Mittal's house is also located in Kensington Palace gardens -- it is a very prestigious address.

Most of the building in the pictures have the same design as the chrysler and the empire state building. They don't look that futuristic to me, they look very 1930-ish.

That is an intriguing thing isn't it ....whenever we have tried to predict what "The Future" will look like, it almost invariably looks like the height of style in the era it was conceived. 2001: A Space Odyssey is quintessentially late 1960's in it's style -- the all white rooms and uniformed perfection of a technological future. The 1970's "Brutalist" design of much of the sets in Star Wars. The late 1970's industrial high-tech style of the sets in Alien. The fashionable early eighties obsession with a post-apocalyptic future found it's zenith in Mad Max . The over-styled 80's gave us Blade Runner, Robocop, and Total Recall. Even more recent films like AI Artificial Intelligence (2000) are stylistically much more of our time than what the future will likely be like.

Excellent explanation Roberto. What you are saying is true. Every dacade there comes new design interpretations of what the future "looks" like. Now in the 21th century it is alot about minamalism. Plane colours like black, gray and specially white and as with the 20th century the good old aluminum is still hot on the plate. This can be seen in movies like the Island and Minority Report. The 70s was worst IMO, to damn alien fixated.

Re: Coolest home ever?

Yes Lu, Minority Report is a great example ....I also forgot to mention the late nineties interpretaion of "The Future" in Gattaca (1997) -- with all it's mid-twentieth century furniture and even a 1970's Citroen SM it looked like it came straight off the pages of Wallpaper* magazine.
