Woah, hold up - that's a "Man Purse" Lu.

I got in an arugment with my wife last night about the prospects of the "Man Purse" becoming a legitimate part of the modern ensemble.

Please tell me:
1 - What the primary use for the bag is.
2 - If these sort of bags are common in South Africa, or if this is just your style.
3 - You live in LA now, don't you?

Maybe I should start a thread on this. I don't want to derail this discussion.

Hmmm I'm not sure purse is the right man Josh, you make it sound so feminin. Let's call it a bag, shall we. I've asked women the same thing as you just asked me, what in the world do you store in your bag. Personally I hate bulging pockets and the stuff I carry with me every where is my ipod, cellphone, camera(need to buy one), TomTom GPS(don't want to leave it in the car), water bottle(can't survive without one in Cali, right), light sweater and lastly crap like receipts and papers. Can't carry all of that stuff in my pocket.
I don't live in LA, I live in SoCal and I'm not from South Africa but I want to go there. Man "purses" aren't that common amongst guys in sweden but I'm a fashion freak and love accessories.

I don't know why I thought you were from SA. You're black right Lu?

Anyways, that's an interesting answer. Basically, this bag is a lifestyle accessory for you. Sometimes I take on similar habits, but because I have a canvas laptop tote the concept comes of entirely different.

Where are you in So Cal?

Well, there you go man. More often than not, blacks can go in all sorts of directions with their style and pull it off with a straight face.

Ever seen a white guy wear a pink or purple shirt? Ridiculous right? Well, put the same shirt on a black guy and you quite possibly have the beginning of a great outfit.

Same goes for your bag Lu. On me... it's a bridge too far. On you, it's style! I'm being a little presumptuous, but I've seen your photo. It works.

It wasn't to long ago that every frat boy and his mother was wearing a pink polo with a popped collar...
