Maybe all of you know, that I'm studying economics at the moment, but for one reason I'm absolutely not dedicated to 100 % to this study and subject…probably I thought that it is something else, compared to what it really is! Many datas, theory etc and nothing that really thrills me: So my tests/exams are not that good etc!

Right now, I really reflect if there is something different I would be really interested in…that thrills me and were I can invest all my passion etc. I definitely know, that there are always times (referred to the study), when things are not well and subejcts you not like and some you like more…but at the moment I'm not satisfied with the whole situation.

So I started to look for sth. different I could do – right now, I really consider to start sth. with photography… I'm absolutely interested in this theme, want to advance my knowledge etc! I like the way, you can facilitate facts, to "record" moments and situations forever!

Nevertheless such a move would be quite difficult for me – studying for about 2 years now and it would be really a "cut"! Start again, doing sth. whole different etc…

Speak with a counselor and ask how many of your current credits apply to the new program you want to switch , it might take less time than you imagine

Also, not sure this happens in all schools, you could claim a Minor in the Economics discipline and Major in Photography

Finding a job - especially during college is always hard: limited time etc…! Some of my friends are jobbing in a call centre (two/three days a week à 4 or 6 hours, what I can remember). Not a bad job, especially when you are working for a reliable centre, which is indeed very important

Ive been trying to get a job at a supermarket, not my style haha!

Another one was "Order picker" basically finding a part, packing and ending it off which is pretty good because it's in an evening which doesn't interrupt college work, but either way I just need the money.

IMO you should try to "finish" what you've started, to end up with a diploma. After 2 or 3 years you should be given smthg, try to reach that. It's always good to have a diploma. Don't break in the middle of the year or with nothing at hand.

Even if you start smthg else afterwards, you should try to give value to those 2 years, not to waste them by abruptly stopping it.

if you're really sure it doesn't suit you, try to list the things you like, your hobbies and the things you're good at, and see the results. This should at least give you a direction.

Don't switch directions unless you're sure of what you do, and that you could find a job with that. So wait a bit, see if it's not just the current lessons that bore you but the whole discipline, and wait untill you have a valuable new project.

Changing direction is not bad, but it should be a well-thought move, not out of boredom. It's not easy to choose a way.

BTW, I know it's not rare in germany to stydy smthg, then switch to smthg else, as you have to choose quite soon what you'll study and often it's not what you thought it's be.

Do you guys think these new font sizes are OK? or do you want to revert to the bigger fonts?

I guess you didn't like the Facebook template lol, I thought it was nice to change the look a bit, but guess not

The font sizes seem alright!

As for the facebook design, thanks for changing it back!

It was rather stressful to use

Everything is great now…like the new design of thebyte and fonts size is perfect! Well, most of us are at young age - in 50 years it could be a problem though!

Got a new book today and seen as I never read... this is news!

The book is called "my booky wook" but Russell Brand (a autobiography) and it's a brilliant read.
