Need new phone advice

I have been doing some phone hunting for the past few weeks, my current phone is ancient, so it is time for an update.

I am not that fancy with phones, I need one that does the basics well, and have features like colour screen, decent camera, good battary life, can play mp3 files, and it has to be pretty tough. I have dropped my old phone so many times, but it survived.

I am looking at the Nokia 6300, or the Sony Ericsson W910i. The Nokia has been getting good reviews and it is very popular, but it has been on the market for a while now, and I don't want to get a phone that will be improved or replaced in the near future. People also says the phone lags a bit when they try to load songs to the playlist.

The Sony Ericsson is relatively new on the market, and it looks pretty good with the big screen. It feels good to use but it is dosn't have long battary life, and there are still software issues which causes the phone to freeze. It is also more expensive than the Nokia.

What do you guys think, what other suggestions do you have?

I'd say the SE W890i would be a good phone!

It has a 3 megapixel camera, great music player as it's a Walkman phone and is really small!

Although if you drop you're phone all the time, get the JCB phone, that will keep on going what ever!

The SE W890i came out just over a week ago in Australia, so not all stores have them yet, and they are still very expensive.

THhe JCB phone looks awsome, wouldn't mind having one if I can fit it inside my pockets.

Not the most expensive one, but I really like the 3110:

It has a great size and I really like the design of! Well, the 6300 is also a very good phone.

Re: Need new phone advice

The K810i never cross my mind, I will look into it, the buttons on the K850i is too hard to press and it is a bit chunky, the k800i is a bit thick as well.

The Nokia Luna 8600 is on my wish list, but I think it is just too good for my daily use. Never consider Samsung before, how are they compare to other phones in terms of general user friendliness?

If you're gonna get one of the K series, get the K810i. I had one and it's the best of the K series I had/used (K750i, K800i & K850i). But If you're gonna drop it often, you might wanna get a Nokia instead, they're more durable IMO.

What about the W890i?

I think with a smaller phone I won't drop it as often because it will be easier for me to take it out and put it back into my pockets.

The W890i is still very new in Australia, so it is still very expensive, and the buttons are a bit small.
