haha, I was just going to post that.
Ok, this puppy has me seriously thinking of getting rid of my 16gig white iPhone 3G. It's amazing, full flash, seriously a pc in your pocket, up to 1 gig of ram, the keyboard, 32 gig, a decent camera with flash, maemo ...

Only thing that makes me doubt is: No OLED/AMOLED screen, iPhone 4G in june 2010?, it's 19mm thick, I've had a HTC P4350 which was 17mm and thought that was big enough already, especially compared to a 3G that's clunky.

I'm also looking forward to the HTC LEO that's expected in October. So basically I'll be getting myself a present by christmas or I'll be waiting to see apple's response ( but don"t know if I want to, starting to dislike apple more and more)

speaking of which, just read that apple investigated those exploding iPhones and found the cause: external pressure. So basically they're giving the middle finger once again to their customers, not taking any action towards inherent vices and pushing me a little bit more to the competition.

sony ericsson is expected to show their X2 Vulcan next week
insiders say that it eats the N900 for breakfast

HTC is reported to have an exceptional line up on the way
some of their products may be powered by the nvidia tegra(zune HD)

true, that zune HD looks

basically, if the phone has

- oled
- at least 16gig
- that tegra chip
- a decent querty without making it the size of a brick, not 100% needed though
- a decent OS, so no homemade samsung stuff ( linux, android, WM 6.5 and up)
- if WM, able to run WM7 in the future
- decent camera, at least 5 Mp and flash
- multi tasking
- a looker

I don't ask much , and yeah, propably next iPhone will have all that, but that's anoher year and I'm really looking to get out of apple.

The nokia N900 is the first real temptation, but either a Zune HD phone or a HTC will probably be the winner.

short quote that underlines my post
so yes rik - your requests are going to be heard

As XY said, HTC will KO everyone and I've been saying this for some time now, Vulcan is the next best thing out of the rest but its only one phone on WinMo which is a narrow market. Nokia will release some good and some average phones but these average phones will be cheap and Nokia will make money. sony ericsson will struggle again financially. Much bigger and better announcements coming from the rivals very soon.

looking forward to christmas

HTC's are sexy devices, but hardware didn't have the punch to deal with the software. I liked the HTC touch HD, found it to be a nice step up. That with tegra-punch, a keyboard, winmo 6.5 or android, capacitive screen ... mmmh, count me in

if you always wait for the newest tech, you would probably never have a new phone

won't count on this tech this year(a lot of manufactures still struggle with 2007[the introduction of the iphone]) - the mobile industry is still a little stagnating in terms of innovations
but 2010 in particular should get exciting again
sony ericsson is totally concentrating on premium phones, because their low-mid strategy failed miserably
-> a small outlook
Android with SonyEricsson UI(expected across all platforms)
YouTube - Sony Ericsson Rachael UI

yes, a transparent display

...and this is only the beginning of 2010
