I was seaching through VH1's website and stumbled upon on this list of the 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock.

My God, are we on the same page here or what!
today I also did a search of the 100 greatest rock bands of all time!
I was trying to find where Def-Leppard stood, not too bad. Thanks for the post!

It's true, there are some debatable bands in this list. I wouldn't say Yes is hardrock, nor Heart. Cheap Trick ..

Pink Floyd is the greatest band of the century AFAIC. Dire Straits are second and Doors are third.
None of them is a Hard Rock band though.

They seem to have an odd definition of Hard Rock. I don't know many of the bands mentioned in the list but almost none of those I know can be classified as hard rock!

It's a strange definition for sure. I would consider Pantera or Nine Inch Nails as more heavy metal, rather than "hard rock". But then what is "hard rock"...

Must have been drunk when they made the list..lol
