It funny that some ppl think that there is much diffrence between Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups..

So if you look at the terroris community as a whole..then NO..they have never been stronger than they are NOW..

So team america is failing..

Al Qaeda is just the tip of the iceberg Gullwing. There are millions of Arab Muslims who feel threatened by the US and its almost fanatical desire to rid the world of fundamentalists -- ironically, the US is full of crazy fundamentalist Christians ....who are just as destructive and violent as their enemies.

I believe you Kashef, many Muslims around the world feel under siege ...and although they don't particularly like groups like Hezbollah and Hamas, they do have sympathy with their cause.

I should make it clear that I consider Hamas to be a bunch of terrorists who deliberately inflame the conflict between Israel and its neighbours with the desire to create all-out war in the region (Iran and Saudi Arabia would love to totally obliterate Israel).

Israel can be extremely arrogant and aggressive but Arab leaders have incited hatred toward Israel since its very inception in 1948 -- it is time they recognized Israel's right to exist ...it is where the Jews originated ...it is their rightful homeland.

There is no way in hell they will agree to israels right to exist..

The Palestine situation is bloody terrible ...but what do the Arab countries do to help the Palestinians? -- nothing! ...they exploit the situation to incite more hatred towards Israel.

I just heard on the radio news that Israel is about to invade Gaza ....not helpful!

The problem with israel is the simple fact..you cant throw someone out of their house and say this is mine..and give them the lawn to live on..

The Arab countries do nothing to help ..
And i dont think we want them to do much ..
Cause that would only mean a huge war..

Ohh and no it can not be resolved, its wrong from the start..
So until someone comes up with a way to time travel..
I dont think we will see the end of this..

Well that is not what happened Artist -- in fact, records show that the Jews wanted the Arabs to stay when Israel was created in 1948, but they chose to leave. Before the 20th century, much of the land that is now Israel was a complete wasteland ...hardly anybody lived there.

Israel should not have taken the west bank and Gaza strip after the 6-day war ...as I said earlier, Israel can be very arrogant ...but they are fighting for their existence ...and they live on knife edge the whole time.

Oh come on Artist, you know as well as I do that many Arabs would love to see a war in which Israel was wiped off the map.

( BTW jerusalem has never been wasteland)
Anyway.. they chose to move out cause they got outnumberd..
If i moved into your house with all my relatives,im sure when you had exhuasted all options that you would pack up and leave..

Yes many arabs might want that..but they cant make it happen..not until USA stops being the only super power in the world..
And its only a question of time, cause everyone with a little sence of history knows that all super powers fall someday...

Oh so over the past 7 years terrorist groups have attacked the US how many time??? Oh ya 0! Terrorist groups might be "stronger" but they have to go up against a much more powerful defense.

Yes you must watch out for all those crazy fanatical Christians who on a daily basis strap bombs on themselves to blow up public markets killing hundreds of civilians.

Good, If my neighbor had been shooting at me for the past several years with no one saying anything against him I would take matters into my own hands and take him out, doesn’t matter if he hides behind his wife, kids, friends. I don’t know why everyone thinks Israel is soo wrong for attacking Hezbollah especially when they say nothing when Hezbollah attacks Israel.

yes, you are right about that.

Well I think they left mostly because they were told by Arab leaders that Israel would not exist for long ...and they would get the land back soon. The Jews made Israel a prosperous and functioning country ...and many Arabs moved there for work and a better life -- which is even the case today!

Hmm, well I do understand what you are saying here ...and you are correct, there was huge Jewish immigration in the early 20th century ....and the Zionists did pursue the establishment of a Jewish state in an aggressive way ...but it was their homeland once ...afterall.

I guess I am too western ...I can't understand why the Arab states are not more pragmatic about this situation ...why are they so threatened by Israel?

..and then what? -- the Arab states and Iran will be able to destroy Israel without fear of a war with the USA?

I agree with you on many things Artist ....I am just trying to see things from all perspectives ...I honestly am not taking sides here, there are major faults on all sides of this multi-dimensional conflict.
