Singer Michael Jackson dead at 50

Michael Jackson has died at age 50 after being rushed to UCLA Medical Center.Los Angeles Fire Department Capt. Steve Ruda told the L.A. Times that Jackson was not breathing when paramedics arrived at his home and CPR was performed.
TMZ.com reported that he may have suffered cardiac arrest.

ackson had been due to start a series of comeback concerts in London on July 13 running until March 2010. The singer, whose hits included “Thriller” and “Billie Jean,” had been rehearsing in the Los Angeles area for the past two months.
The shows for the 50 London concerts sold out within minutes of going on sale in March.
His lifetime record sales tally is believed to be around 750 million, which, added to the 13 Grammy Awards he received, makes him one of the most successful entertainers of all time.
He lived as a virtual recluse since his acquittal in 2005 on charges of child molestation.
There were concerns about Jackson’s health in recent years but the promoters of the London shows, AEG Live, said in March that Jackson had passed a 4-1/2 hour physical examination with independent doctors.

Wow this was seriously unexpected!

Lets hope he will be remembered for his music, not his bad past with children

May he R.I.P.

I know this is awful news!

And as I said, may he be remembered for his music and singing.

Not his bad past.

Really a big shock reading this news, and most definitely a sad event.

I'm been somewhat of a fan of his, and remember as a youngster listening to 'Black or White' a lot, and in recent times enjoying his older hit songs. Really sad to know he's gone, but thankfully the news channels here are focusing more on his music legacy and tragic passing rather than his recent controversies.

May he now finally Rest In Peace, and may his fantastic legacy as a singer and entertainer live on!

Today Farrah Fawcett dies after long fight with canser... some mention of it on news.
Michael Jackson dies... is there any other news? Don't know! Hawaii could have been blown off the planet and no one would know.

Due to the fact that M.J was 90% plastic, he is being melted into lego blocks so kids could play with him for a change.

Couldn't care less ... actually.
But within the family I feel sorry for the kids to the loss of their father.

Feelin about the same - mixed feelings! Well, he's a legend - but can't understand why there is such a hype! People are dying everday and every hour/minute/second - and no one cares! Well he is famous, but also a person like everyone else…

Also hate that you can't turn the radio on without hearing a song of Michael Jackson…

Yea I was really sad to hear about Michael. He was the number one selling artist in history and his songs actually meant something. He will truly be missed. He was truly the biggest Celebrity.

On another note, I am suprised that people are being so disrespectful in this thread. You are talking about a man who lost his life. How in the world could you be so disrespectful based on media information? You know nothing about his personal life, but what you heard on TV.

And it is amazing because the same people who are disrespecting him now will get the same back. Don't come crying on the bored when you lose someone.
