Re: Halloween

Halloween hasn't really caught on here, despite the best attempts of the marketing kind. That said, there's an invite to a Halloween party in my email... however, there's a little shindig on Thursday which I definitely want to attend and I'm hosting a little get-together on Saturday, which probably will be enough partying for me for one week.

I will, however, do the traditional thing and go and light a candle at my grandfather's grave on Saturday (All Saints' Day, always a Saturday here).

Re: Halloween

Sounds like a plan!

This year I'll ditch my witch outfit and dress up like my avatar

Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany's, opera gloves and all!

we'll place jack-o lanterns outside the house, drink cider, and give candy to trick-o-treaters

Re: Halloween

Round these parts, Halloween is just an excuse for the girls to dress extremely slutty and not feel bad and for everyone to get drunk. So I'll save my money and skip the costume and just enjoy the view among other things...

Re: Halloween

I spent the whole weekend partying...got faded like mofo. I got tons of pictures, LOL.

Yes I dressed up.

No, I didn't make a Jack-O-Lantern. Haven't had the time. Made one last year though.

Re: Halloween

This is a lot of fun!

I'm in Full movie star garb as I type ( yes, I'm at my office)I mean dress, hat, gloves, shades.

I made festive oatmeal apple raisin cookies ( with halloween sprinkles) .. well they were gone in 5 seconds!

My collegues address me as " Ms Hepburn" and we are all having a blast!

Other dresser-uppers here:

the mummy

deranged witch

chinese wiseman

surgeon from hell

nerd

Stevy Nicks

80's punk rocker

the African guy that Eddie Murphy portrayed in "Trading Places"

20's flapper

construction worker

rockabilly dude

GI joe ( this is a woman dressed as GI joe)

Pimp

Snow white

well.... you get the picture

NSL is passing out candy to trick-o-treaters, not sure if he dressed up.

I wish you all a Happy halloween!

Re: Halloween

^^Ha ha ha...That's awesome.

On Friday night, I was one of Ali Baba's 40 thieves and my cousin was another one of the thieves.

On Saturday night I was a 70s-80s Mobster/Pimp. Full in my Adidas track-suit. LOL
