LEDs too bright at night

NEW YORK - Twinkle, twinkle, little Internet router. And cell phone. And digital video recorder. And cable modem. And game console. And power strip. And TV — even though it's turned off.

Turn off the lamps in a living room or bedroom today, and chances are good the room will still be aglow with the tiny diode lights of a half-dozen gadgets.

Re: LEDs too bright at night

Thanks Rob! It got me thinking and it's so true!

We recently has guests in the house, I was worried that they could get disoriented at night... NO CHANCE!

Between the routers, TV cable boxes, pool aqualink system, the ovens, the fridge the security system, the smoke alarms, plenty plenty of light!

It's pollution! We can't disable or turn of!!! well unless we get a power outage.

very very unfortunate...

Re: LEDs too bright at night

Not to mention every system make some subtle yet very annoying noises (eg. buzzing, beeping, squeaking etc).

It's so ironic: people are buying super-noise-proof windows, but then instead of dead silence you can hear the noises from your HI-Fi speakers, and every possible power adapter with electric transformer ...

Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz .... Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ... Trrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ....

And ... despite super-silence windows you're forced to use ear plugs in the bad.

Slaves of electronic devices ... bearing all the light & noise pollution in the house.

Not to mention the noise&light pollution outside. Incl. the birds at the dawn. Not even the super-windows & ear plugs can silence the stupid birds. The bloody noisy crows.

Re: LEDs too bright at night

I have to admit blue LEDs are everywhere!! Quite literally this second there are TWO LEDs flashing at me on my computer table one for my wireless Internet and the other for my speakers (and that light is soo bright and it's directly in the corner of my eye and messes up my eyes after a while...so i taped it up)
