My Cat Died

My cat, Yoda, died last week. He had some sort of cat Leukimia, and his liver was failing, so they had to put him to sleep. Which really sucks because he was only a few years old, and had a unique personality, don't know if we can find one to replace him.

Re: My Cat Died

Sorry to hear that Jeff. Yoda looked like a great little cat.

I personally, have already lost two cats to liver failure; it's very common amongst felines. As for replacing him, well to be honest, I don't know if you'll ever will be able to...

When my cat Rex died early last year (17 year old cat), I felt as If I had lost a member of my family. Completely irreplaceable - personality, looks, - you name it.

Re: My Cat Died

Dear Jeff:

I'm so sorry for your loss.

It's devastating to lose a cat in particular a Siamese, they are in deed unique, dog-like and loyal.

You gave him a good life and love and am sure he has given you laughs, and good times in return. I'm sure he left good footprints in your heart.

We just adopted a blue siamese girl, and have a blue siamese boy;

both are healthy and have great characters. They should produce blue Siamese by next year. He ( Mr Maboo) looks just like your Yoda!

You will never replace him ; you will never be the same after knowing Yoda; but I believe you can honor him by adopting another cat in his memory in time ( of course).

Best to you Jeff

Jeff, I am sorry to hear about this.

I know how sad loosing a pet can be.

I am still grieving the loss of my best friend.

Re: My Cat Died

Thanks guys, It means a lot to me.

And I am sorry to hear about your losses as well, it sucks to lose a pet.

It's just weird to think that when I go back home, little Yoda wont be jumping up and down on the backdoor as I pull into the backdrive anymore and there will no longer be a warm body sleeping at my feet at night.

Re: My Cat Died

I'm sorry to hear that, Jeff. I know how hard it is to lose a close friend. Animals love you as you are, unconditionally. They don't judge you and are uncompromisingly loyal to you. I once read about this scientific test where they had people put in a stressful situation and then they were monitored. Then they had their loved ones (girl friend/boy friend/husband/wife) beside them in the same situation. Lastly they had their pet with them in the same situation again. The results were surprising. The people were most relaxed in the stressful situation when they had their pet with them. I think that tells a lot.

Re: My Cat Died

OH Jeff I am so sorry to hear that. Animals are truly wonderful partners and I could not bear to read, listen, or watch about animals and how much of a role they played in ones life. I am truly saddened by this and hope you can remember the good times and re-hatch some with a future pal.

RIP

Re: My Cat Died

I'm sorry to hear that.

I know how you feel. I was devastated when my dog Rambo and cat Ming Ming died. The funny thing was that Rambo died on Valentines day at the age of 15 - precisely one week later, our cat Ming Ming died. Both of them were very close to each other. We got the feeling that with Rambo gone, Ming Ming couldn't live and died.
