Marine scientists have discovered hundreds of new animal species on reefs in Australian waters,
including brilliant soft corals and tiny crustaceans, according to findings.

The creatures were found during expeditions run by the Australian chapter of CReefs,

^ I'm pretty sure all of those diseases caused these mutant animals to pop up....And interbreeding

It's really amazing what the oceans hide from us. Just look at what discovery of GFP (green fluorescent protein) did for the bioscience.

This is what Jesse Ausubel, the Program Director of Census of Marine Life project, said in 2004. So I'm very optimistic that there will be discoveries that can help us develop cure for diseases that are currently thought to be incurable.
