Re: Your favorite animal

The tiger is also on top of my favorite list. It is somehow even more mysterious and respectable than the lion. Unlike the tiger the male lion seldomly hunts by itself. It usually lets the female lions hunt the prey and the it drives them away and enjoys a free meal.

The biggest cat in the world is still the liger. It can weight over 500 kg (1100 lb)!

Re: Your favorite animal

Tigers are awsome, but my most favorite of the big cats is the Lion(I'm a leo, so the association is kinda cool, I think astrology is a load of crap). I just watched a documentary on man eating Siberian Tigers last Sunday, it was pretty insane. I'd get into the story but it's a bit long.

If anyone is interested, here is the only recorded footage of a Killer Whale consuming a Great White. The details suck because the damm cameraman was moving around too much on the waves in the boat. Hopefully we'll see a repeat of this event on recorded footage sometime in the near future.

On a slightly different tune; I've watched several shark documentaries tonight on DC and I keep hearing the same thing, "the great white is the top predator of the sea", they keep preaching the same load of B.S. I've told people countless times that this statement simply isn't true, but they think I'm smoking?

Re: Your favorite animal

The orca has always been one of my favorites as well. I really like sharks a lot too. There's a lot of animals I like, so I'm not sure on my favorite, but the Orca is definitely one of the top considerations.

Re: Your favorite animal

My favourite animals are turtles, either sea turtles or (land) tortoises or terrapins or whatever. They're cool and cute. I was watching a shark documentary once, and it was chasing a turtle. The turtle, ungainly on land but graceful in the water, turned and bit at the shark and scared it off. I laughed my head off.

I also like other sea creatures, orcas and sharks are good, plus some fish. Crustaceans are also cool, like lobsters, crabs and crayfish. Also, other unusual creatures like scorpions and whatever, but not to the point I'd hesitate to kill it if it could possibly threaten me. Quails are hilarious in that they just run around on the ground.

I'm not really one for the usual cats or dogs.

Re: Your favorite animal

I also have the tiger (siberian) as one of my top ones! Belgals are there too!

I find the leafy sea dragon to be a most fascinating and beautiful animal

They are a type of sea horse and can grow to 20 cm in length.
