Barney the Beagle

I lost my second best friend yesterday. Barney would have been 13 in December and we had him from when he was 6 weeks old. My wife selected him from his 5 brothers and sisters and she picked the nicest of the bunch.

Barney was the classic "warm puppy" and showed this warmth everyday, not only to us but to everyone. Barney will be sadly missed but hopefully my wife and he will find each other now and once again share each others love.

Another very sad day....

Jack,

I have looked at your gallery and have seen Barney many times. I don't know how else to say this but I am truly sorry to hear that you have lost your best friend. Truthfully losing an animal like a dog, for me, is devastating. I truthfully care a lot for animals, becasue it seems that they can show you so much love unconditionally. I hope barney Rest's in peace and both him and your wife meet once again.

My condolences

Jack, it's sad to hear you've lost a faithful friend and companion. A close and loved pet really is a member of the family.

I hope you can take the time to mourn and also time to rejoice in his memories. Take care.

Re: Barney the Beagle

I often hear how sorry people are for loosing their pets or a relative but I've never had a pet nor lost a relative so I have no idea of how it's like to lose someone that is so close to you. So its always really hard for me to relate. Maybe I should be happy for that.

Even if I can relate or not I'm very sorry for your great companion. Now he can chase angels instead of bones. Could be hard for you replacing him.

Re: Barney the Beagle

I meant to post here earlier Jack. This is terrible news, I'm sorry to hear about Barney. I know how hard it must be loosing him, especially when you had him since he was a young pup and the unconditional love he most definitely showed you. They really do become family even if they are of a different species...It's just not fair that they have to live such short lives.

Rest in peace Barney.

Thanks bum-man...yes they are family and it is always tough when you lose a member of the family. I feel that my dearest friend Betty Jo now has a friend to pal around with again. Life if tough but death is part of it and we must cope as best we can. Again thanks for your kind remarks.

Sorry to hear about this, Jack.

I've gone through two dog deaths in my life and they're painful. You really become attached to them because they're like humans in some ways.

The saying is true: Dog's are man's best friend.

Sorry to hear about this. RIP Barney.
