I voted for Notic; it is a perfect shot
The dark clouds, the never-ending road, the perspective... great!

Regarding DaSilva's pic: I think it was pretty obvious that the
radial blur effect was created with Photoshop (great effect btw, DaSilva!) ... but...
I think it is equally obvious that I used Photoshop too to create
my semi-coloured pic above...
I hope I am not breaking the rules? To which extent is it allowed
to use Photoshop? The rules are not 100% clear on this matter...

I love notic's photo but I voted for James. There's something about the green grass adn the post modern architecture of the building which appeal to me.

The key is, if it can be done in a darkroom with real film, then it can be done in photoshop.

El Zorro, as far as I can tell all you have done is selective colouring, which can be achieved in the darkroom.

DaSilva's photo had an effect that could only be achieved in photoshop, hence why it was not entered.

If you're going to use photoshop, and you're not sure if it'll be allowed, it would be best to just stick with using Levels, Curves, Colour Balance, Brightness/Contrast, Hue/Saturation, and cropping.

^^ OK, thanks for clearing that up for me, Choleric!
As you mentioned, selective colouring is the only effect I applied to the original photo.

DaSilva, maybe you can move your computer to a darkroom next time and use Photoshop over there j/k
