| CaleDeRoo, In my opinion, because of the starkness of the image, it works better without a border -- a border would detract from its impact. The bold contrast between the minimal subject and the white background is what makes it such a compelling image. As we have seen in the past, borders can make an image more dramatic ...but there are exceptions -- your photograph is one ....of course this is just an opinion. |

| CaleDeRoo gets my vote this time around. I really like Black & White photos, especially when they have a good interplay of light and dark areas. The perspective of the shot is very fascinating..and I envy your creative 'think outside the box' mind to see this photo, and then the way you've composed it clever in itself. Having the bottom of the glass off-centre grabs your attention, and the funky bubbles patterns creates a sort of 'vortex' that slowly draws yours eyes to the black bottom of the glass. Real nice... this is the sort of shot where creativity clearly rules over camera & lens quality. Keep it up buddy! |
