Re: General Photo comp #4 voting

I am sorry guys ...I honestly can't choose this week -- all such excellent entries -- I love el Zorro's moon picture because it is exactly the kind of picture I wish I had taken myself; Nevada Jack's photo is quite wonderful ..it almost has a metallic look about it; Choleric and Siko, what beautiful places ...sensitively photographed; Tyc -- what an interesting moment in time you have captured -- it is precisely this kind of serendipity that is the true joy of photography. Dom, like an alchemist you have made the commonplace and ordinary into the fascinating and beautiful. MikeJ, your love of the landscape forces us all to look at your images more closely, I find myself looking at the image as a series of contours; and finaly Audiholic, what a wonderful image you have created there -- really quite spectacular like fireworks -- so great work everyone, as far as I'm concerned you all deserve to win.

They're all great photos, but I voted for Dominix because his photo just seems to jump out at me.

Like dOmInIX said, you explained it very well Roberto! Thanks BTW for the nice comments on my photo! But actually, I was a bit disappointed when I took this picture, because I wasn't able to capture the real beauty of the sky at that time. Maybe I can try to explain it in words: the sky was very dark (some shade of black), and in contrast with it there were several cotton-like clouds, not too many, and with a light gray or even yellowish color. And between those clouds, there was the full moon, bright white, illuminating the top of those passing clouds. If I had more experience (like NevadaJack and others), or better equipment, I could have taken the most exciting night picture of my life But I wasn't even able to capture the beauty or the shape of the moon (no matter what I tried, the photo was overexposed each time). So I tried something else and used the bright moonlight as a sort of background If someone knows how to take a decent picture of the moon with a relative simple digital camera like mine (Canon Digital Ixus430, 3x optical zoom I believe), don't hesitate to tell me

Edit: Oops, forgotten, my vote goes too Audiholic

All of them are nice but I especially like the peaceful and warm atmosphere in the photo that Choleric posted.

Lots of good ones. Audiholic's photo really catches my attention though, so he gets my vote.
