Mike J's photo reminds me of a Monet painting ...very appealing. 
I like NevadaJack's photo a lot too ...I don't like being critical, but I would have voted for it Jack, if the horizon was squared up.

audi_rudy: interesting view you have there -- like what the world must be like for someone in a negative pressure ventilator  ..... yeah that was in bad taste -- sorry. | Roberto, I'm not gonna pretend I know the history of the abbey, but I found this interesting website for you: http://www.orval.be/an/FS_an.html. They say the church was rebuild and used again from somewhere in the 1940s, indeed! It is really a beautiful place! The gardens and the buildings are maintained in very good condition; on the place there are also the ruins of the medieval abbey. The whole atmosphere is peace and quiet... I have other photos from the place, I'll post them if I have time... BTW, congrats on your victory in this photo competition. Well deserved  |
