Forbes just released its 20 Richest Stars Under 25 list. Yay.
I don't know about you but I can't stand precocious, overly successful young people. Like those 12-year-olds you see on Oprah who started their own businesses and are now little millionaires. They give me hives. Primarily because they are a reminder of my own relative failure.

But, let's amuse ourselves shall we? See if you can put these girls in ranking order!

Yeah, I thought Lindsay would have been higher too. And I must admit to being completely suprised by Miley Cyrus' recent success. I didn't even have a clue as to the hell she was (although I had a feeling she was related to the good old "ache-breaky heart" - hate Bill ) until a month ago when she sneaked up on my radar. Now everyone's talking about her...

Haha, Bruce. I don't think all lot of the rich young people are actually overly successful. They are just overpaid. Today, even a celebrity with little to no talent could make $10 million because the world is obsessed with the celebrity lifestyle. You'd be surprised how many blockbuster movies don't make back their investment because the star, A-list actor is so egregiously over compensated!

Entertainers are so rich because the studio bosses that run the entertainment industry are stupid enough to give them everything they want. Miley Cyrus is probably going to be making $50 million in no time, but how much profit will she really be adding to Disney? I own a few Disney through index funds, so I'd like to know myself. If she makes, say, a $70 million net profit for Disney and she gets $50 million herself, I'd call her grossly overpaid.

A star stock trader on Wall St. that makes $70 million profit for his firm would likely get only $4-7 million because Wall St. firms aren't so stupid to give him 5/7ths of what he helped earn. There is still a slow-changing mentality that says if you made $100 million for your Wall St. firm, the second $50 million was a waste of your time because they're not going to pay you more than a certain amount.

Say, Bruce, if you can't stand these precocious, young millionaires, how do you feel about the 23-yr.-old billionaire founder of Facebook?

The scary thing is that there are parents out there whose own financial plan in life is for the kids to become mega stars or the next super athlete.
