Yesterday we (my lady and I) run out of storage place for shoes. Problem: too much shoes.

I counted all the pairs of my footwear, and I was shocked!

32 pairs!

That includes: classic shoes, styling shoes, outdoor hiking shoes, boots, sneakers, sandals, flip-flops.

All being actively used - in a proper season time.

Still I'm quite short of the collection my lady has in a possession: 54 pairs.

I suppose we are well equipped to open a footwear store.



So, what's your count of footwear?


Am I a shoe-psycho, or something?

Wow!! 32 pairs!! That's cool. I have problems to find the right pair of shoes, so I don't have so many. But I will start to get some more...because I like to change my shoes and it should be harmonise to the outfit.

6 pairs of Puma sneakers, 2 Adidas, 1 Nike.

Plus 3 pair of shoes for suits, 2 pair of Sketchers and 2 pair of Diesel shoes.

That's about that! .........

2 pairs of Nike running shoes, 1 pair of formal black leather shoes.

Car Diva will probably have triple our combined amount.

Hmm, I gotta think about this one...

The ones I use at least occasionally:

1 pair of winter shoes
1 pair of formal dress shoes
1 pair of sneakers
2 pairs of walking shoes
2 (or 3?) pairs of sandals
2 pairs of rubber boots

+ a pile of old shoes that I really should go through and ditch the ones I'll never use again.

4 pairs: brown Wind River sandals; black Dr. Marten casual dress shoes; brown Wind River casual dress shoes and brown Sperry casual dress shoes.

OK, I can now confirm that I'm a certified shoe-maniac.
Or perhaps even a shoe-junkie.


Any known & successful rehabs / treatments available?

Although no item had a price tag more than €70. Let's say an average price was €40 (x 32 = €1,280 ... roughly $1,900).

Too much? Yet I'm sure the collection my lady has is worthy at least double that.

When you can find shoes for about 70 € - it's absolutely great. Normally I pay around 100 - 200 € for a pair.
I think, it isn't to much. Imagine how much ladies spend for gripsacks in addition to all that shoes.
I wouldn't call you a shoe-junkie.

1 pair of sneakers
1 pair of semi skate shoes
2 pairs of skate shoes
2 pairs of gym sneakers

And that's about it I think.

Thanks God I'm not into designer shoes at all. And usually go after shoes when the sale is on. So, I'm still quite an economical guy.


Don't get me started ... A vicious circle ... She buys a new dress, and needs a matching pair of shoes. While shopping for shoes, she buys a bag. And than needs another pair of shoes to match the bag. And than a matching shirt ... And then while shopping for a shirt ...
