Audi Limousine Service at the World Economic Forum 2007

Jun 25, 2007
Singapore

In keeping with tradition, Audi will chauffeur VIPs at the World Economic Forum (WEF) during their stay in Singapore. A fleet comprising six Audi S8s, Q7s and A6s will be available to ensure that heads of government, CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, senior business figures and other VIPs travel in comfort and luxury.
"Extending this strategic partnership to Singapore is very important as it is a key market for Audi and participating in this event speaks to the international standing of Audi as a premium brand," remarked Reinhold Carl, Managing Director of Audi Asia Pacific.

The Annual Meetings of business leaders, heads of states and civil society from all over the world in Davos, Switzerland have become something of a tradition for the Audi Limousine Service. Audi was first entrusted with the task of providing the chauffeur service at the 1984 World Economic Forum in Davos. Since 1987 Audi has provided this service in Davos on an exclusive basis. Major personalities including Microsoft's Bill Gates, UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, former US president Bill Clinton, Siemens Board Chairman Heinrich von Pierer and presidents, kings, heads of government departments and ministers from all over the world have been chauffeured in Audi A8s. Around 100 Audi A8 quattro® models are in service every year on the snowy roads of Davos.

The three Audi models selected for the World Economic Forum in Singapore are true ambassadors of the German marque representing sportiness, sophistication, elegance and uncompromising quality that are hallmarks of the Audi brand.

The Audi S8 is the top of the line of the brand's flagship Audi A8. With an all aluminum body and a V10 5.2 lit engine that generates 450 bhp, the Audi S8 promises a dynamic ride without compromising comfort and luxury.

The Audi Q7 when launched, heralded a new standard in the SUV segment with its outstanding on-road performance, good off-road characteristics and expressive design.

The elegant and sporty Audi A6 has been an all time favorite in the executive class and its market leader status in Germany for the past two years testifies of this.

Good find Mirage77, but why the S8 and not the A8L W12?!
That would be my estate ride.

Good question. I also find it strange they called the S8 the top-of-the-line A8. It should be the W12.

Anyway, I hope to see these cars running about.
