Curious if anyone is going soon or just getting back....

Personally i am going the weekend of 5/20 to Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Staying at the Ritz Carlton in the Ocean View Suite. Never been to Jamaica, but have been all over the Carribean. Figured it was a great place. Going for four full days...

Nice! Make sure you check out the Dunns River Falls, it is awsome.

This summer Im going to my parents house they live close to the beach so I will get my sun there. Hopefully my vacations will be better this year, last summer I had three weeks vacations and it rained every day

I got back from America mid Feb'.

Flew over there to meet my girlfriend for the first time. Was the best! Spent 9 weeks there, from mid-Dec' to mid-Feb, until i had to come back to Australia coz college/university was starting up soon.
Stayed in California only. Didn't do a whole lot of sight seeing, but went to Disneyland, Universal Studios, Yosemite National Park, Monterey ..and that's about it.

Im gonna be going over there in July again, but only for 2 weeks this time. Last time I flew into LAX, this time arriving at San Francisco, so can't wait to see the city and the Golden Gate Bridge hopefully.

If I may ask, what part of Sweden do you live at? I am curious to know about the beaches in Sweden. I understand that you may not want to be too specific for whatever reason, but it would be nice to know what part of Sweden. I myself come from the finnish town of Turku, or Abo in swedish, and as you obviously know, there are tons of islands between Finland and Sweden. My family had, and now I have one of them, a few summerplaces there, and to me that's the ultimate vacation there is to be able to spend time in that area. But I would not say that there are any real beaches there. Of course that is relative, but having also lived in South Africa, and still own property there as well - by the beach in Plettenberg Bay, they have real beaches. Same as Florida and Southern California. Yyteri is probably the only real beach in Finland that I know of. The other beaches are mostly sandy areas in small coves and such.

How are your beaches?

We have sand beaches. I live in southern Sweden, close to Denmark and Germany.

Alex Jamaica sounds so nice , i envy you.

I don't know where i will go this summer cause i 'll be very busy at the airport with little or no time out. Maybe i will manage to get a few days off and go to a neighbouring Greek island like Corfu.
